Location: On the beach at Scarness
Individuals, families and groups are invited to come down, register for the competition and have a dig in the sand. BYO equipment, beach shade and a bucket to collect donations. Spectators, supporters and even participants are encouraged to vote for the best creation by making a donation to vote for their favourite(s). This is the third year the annual event has been hosted by 9 year old Monique, who created the concept at the age of 7. She collects very generous prize donations from local businesses and is aiming to advance on the $2,500 she has already raised and the 450 people she has entertained.
